The price or the discount?

The market of dental tourism is ever-evolving and customers keep changing their minds in regard to what attracts them. So, what is the best way to keep up with what they want? Reading their minds is not possible… but we can test how they react to different types of social media content and get their live reaction. It’s not magic, but rather smart use of technology.

 

While running a lead generation campaign for a dental clinic (Dental tourism focusing on Italian clients), we decided to test two types of marketing strategies for dental implant treatments for 3 days. One included the discount (how much people can save up) and the other one included the starting price of the promoted dental service.

Who was the winner of this competition?

  • The discount post got 77 clicks (for a cost of $0.20 per click)

  • The price post got 378 clicks!!! (for a cost of $0.21 per click)

 

Both options generated good results on a low budget, but the price post definitely got more attention.

This piece of information was essential because it helped us rethink the funnel in real-time and we tailor-made the rest of it so that it appeals to what potential customers liked more.

The dental domain is one of the most fast-paced and challenging industries. In this cutting-edge arena, one of our clients - a private dental practice in Europe - wanted to show their unique approach through equally fresh branding. 
 

Keeping their needs in mind and drawing on our experience working within this domain, we created a mix of lighter, more personal - but relevant - posts to showcase the youthfulness of the brand. This meme-like content encouraged clients to get in touch and engage with the brand, while at the same time promoting their teeth-whitening and braces services.
